Welcome to Time to Learn Python. By accessing or using our website, interactive lessons, exercises, and community features, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
๐ On this page:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Time to Learn Python website (the “Platform”), you confirm that you accept these Terms of Service and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use our Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, learners, mentors, and contributors who access any part of the website. If you are under 13, you may not use the platform without verifiable parental consent. By using the service, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements.
2. Accounts and Registration
To access certain features (progress tracking, quizzes, saving code snippets), you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for more than 12 consecutive months.
3. Limited License to Use
Time to Learn Python grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for educational, non-commercial purposes only. You may view, download, and print excerpts of learning materials for personal reference. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our course videos, code solutions, or structured content for any commercial purpose.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or data-mine any part of the Platform.
- Provide access to your account to third parties for reselling lessons.
- Use the platform to propagate malware, spam, or other harmful code via code editors or forums.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Time to Learn Python.
4. User Content & Code of Conduct
Our interactive environment lets you submit code snippets, forum posts, project solutions, and comments. You retain ownership of your original code submissions, but you grant Time to Learn Python a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, modify (for anonymization or educational improvement), and promote your submissions within the platform’s learning context. You represent that you have the rights to any content you submit.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Posting offensive, discriminatory, or harassing content in forums or comments.
- Sharing full solutions to graded challenges publicly to undermine learning integrity.
- Impersonating staff or other members.
- Uploading malicious code or attempting to exploit the code execution environment.
We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates these rules, without prior notice.
5. Premium Subscriptions & Payments
Certain advanced paths, certification prep, and live mentoring sessions require a paid subscription (“Premium Plan”). Fees are clearly displayed before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. All payments are processed by secure third-party providers; we do not store full credit card information. Refunds are granted within 14 days of initial purchase only if no more than 10% of the premium content has been accessed. For monthly plans, we do not provide refunds for partial months. Please contact support for exceptional cases.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All trademarks, logos, course curricula, original video content, interactive quizzes, design elements, and the overall “look and feel” of the platform are the exclusive property of Time to Learn Python or its licensors. You may not use our logos or branding without prior written consent. Python is a registered trademark of the Python Software Foundation; we are an independent educational platform not officially affiliated with PSF, but we respect all trademarks. Any unauthorized use may result in legal action.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform and all educational content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, Time to Learn Python does not guarantee that the learning content is error-free, complete, or up-to-date. We are not liable for any loss of data, interruption of service, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so the above may not apply to you. In any case, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) during the prior 6 months.
8. Termination & Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without liability, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the community. You may also delete your account at any time via account settings; upon termination, your license rights cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, governing law) will survive.
9. Modifications to Terms
Time to Learn Python reserves the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will post a notice on the website or send an email to registered users. Your continued use of the platform after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when changes were last made. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
